Bill Davis Chalet

The Bill Davis Chalet has certainly played a vital role in many community activities over the years; the building has been recently replaced with a new, more functional building for our Town.

The creation of the project came as a result of the community support shown when working at and successfully winning one of the ten prizes of the 2012 Kraft Celebration Tour.

Recreation is an integral part of Clarenville life and the addition of the new Bill Davis Chalet in Elizabeth Swan Park will play a large role in bringing the town together and providing a great facility for residents.

The chalet is a multi-purpose facility that will be used by a variety of organizations in the community for local events and recreation programs. To book a rental at the Bill Davis Chalet, please contact the Eastlink Events Centre at (709) 466- 4105 x.221

Tennis, Basketball and Pickleball Courts

Clarenville provides regulation-size public tennis and basketball courts in the centre of town, on Legion Lane. Pickleball courts have been painted on the Tennis Courts, while portable nets and paddles are available to borrow from the Town’s Parks and Recreation Department. Contact recreation@clarenville.ca to book the equipment. (Deposit may be required).

The courts are available on a first-come, first-serve basis and court usage is free.

Soccer Pitch

In the summer of 2006 Clarenville officially opened a new soccer pitch located behind the Clarenville Middle School. The pitch, which is home to the Minor Soccer Association, can accommodate three soccer games with regulation size nets simultaneously. It is surrounded by a 400 meter asphalt track. Cheer on your team while taking a stroll!
