The Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville features a 2250 capacity arena, as well as a 400+ capacity theatre in the heart of the town of Clarenville.
The Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville has been designed to create a lasting legacy that will shape the future of the Town of Clarenville and the region as a whole for years to come.
Opened in October of 2009, the Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville is a state-of-the-art multi-purpose facility featuring a 1247-seat arena (with an additional 1000-person standing room), a 200-metre indoor walking/running track, a 400+ soft-seat arts theatre, along with meeting facilities and concession areas.
The Events Centre is located on Blackmore Avenue in the vibrant and growing Town of Clarenville. Adjacent to the Clarenville High School and Middle School Complex, ball field, swimming pool, fitness centre, soccer and track facility, the Event Centre’s strategic location makes it extremely attractive for a multitude of special events, tournaments, meetings and conventions.
During the first year of operation, the Events Centre contributed significantly to increased growth in minor hockey, figure skating and youth hockey and quickly became recognized as one of the top facilities in the province. The theatre and walking track have created phenomenal interest and increased use for the facility, helping to establish the EEC as a true regional multi-purpose facility.
The Events Centre hosted numerous events during its first year including provincial and invitation hockey tournaments, provincial and regional figure skating competitions, and of course, the Clarenville Caribous AAA Senior Hockey. Clarenville has hosted the provincial senior hockey Herder Memorial Championships eight times since opening in 2009 and the Senior Caribous have won the provincial title 4 times, in 2009, 2010, 2012, & 2018. In 2015, the Caribous played host to the Allan Cup, the National Sr. AAA Hockey Championship.
The residents and businesses throughout the region have embraced our facility, rejuvenating community spirit and enhancing Clarenville’s reputation as a “hockey town”.
East bound
To reach the Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville, take the first exit into Clarenville from the Trans Canada Highway.
- You are now on Manitoba Drive
- Pass through the first set of traffic lights
- You will see Canadian Tire on the left hand side, followed by the GB Cross Memorial Hospital
- Directly across from the Hospital is Blackmore Avenue. Turn right onto Blackmore Avenue. You will see the Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville at the end of the road.
- Once at the front of the building, keep to the right to move into the parking lot area.
West bound
To reach the Eastlink Events Centre – Clarenville, take the second exit into Clarenville from the Trans Canada Highway.
